Jedburgh Grammar Campus - Jedburgh, United Kingdom

Public lighting of buildings and facilities must guarantee safety and orientation, ensure energy savings and avoid light pollution. Moreover, the lighting project of a public area should consider the type of architecture in which luminaires are integrated and the desired atmosphere.

The lighting project of the new Jedburgh Grammar Campus in Scotland, carried on by Kingfisher Lighting with Arcluce products, fulfills all these criteria providing high-quality illumination for an entire community.
Jedburgh Grammar Campus is an innovative learning space for 2 to 18-year-old pupils, as well as providing further education opportunities and facilities for the community. Besides the nursery, primary and secondary school, it includes a science, technology labs, work rooms and a public library; Jedburgh Campus also offers sports facilities such us a multi-use games area, a hockey pitch, a sports pitch, a synthetic running track, a grass track and a gym.
Designed by Stallan-Brand and built by BAM Construction, Jedburgh Grammar Campus replaces three schools on town and is meant to be a focal point for the community, appreciated by pupils, families and staff.

The advanced technology of Arcluce luminaires allowed the creation of an elegant lighting scheme for the public outdoor areas, ensuring high performance, energy efficiency and no-glare, soft lighting. Besides, their elegant design perfectly matches the modern, essential aesthetic of the environment; the high-quality light emitted creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
15 NADIR-IN and 24 RAY180 Short recessed downlights were installed into the wood panels of the main building’s roof, providing a powerful and extremely comfortable lighting at the entrance, perimeters and pathways. With their refined design and invisible installation, these recessed downlights integrate seamlessly into the industrial architecture of the building made of steel, wood and large glass panels.
39 SOUL180 Urban bollards, customized with a bespoke spill screen, give a touch of elegance to the venue thanks to their unique, sleek design. With 3 LED sources and radial optic, this unique urban luminaire provides a diffused and homogeneous lighting to stairways, passageways, perimeters and parkings.
